**Painting exhibits signs of past professional restoration. It was cut and relined with taped edges some time in the 19th century or earlier. Edges are partially exposed and exhibit some light abrading. There is a pinhead-sized hole/loss to the right center sky with corresponding inpainting. Additional small inpainted "touch-ups" are present to the waves below the center rock and to the far right waves. Painting exhibits multiple layers of varnish with some light yellowing to layers and surface soiling. In overall good condition. Condition is as to be expected with age and material.
