Two American Federal Mahogany Games Tables early 19th century, one of D-end form and raised on slender, reeded legs, h. 29-1/2", w. 36", d. 18", open d. 36", and the other of serpentine form with line inlay and raised on turned, reeded legs, h. 28-1/2", w. 36", d. 18", open d. 36".
Estimate $1,000-1,500 Both tables exhibit normal shrinkage, mars and wear, and older refinished surfaces. Table with D-form top: There are some filled shrinkage cracks in the tops. One end of the top exhibits what appears to be a burned area. Small veneer flakes to vertical edge of the top, and veneer losses to the bottom edge of the apron, each about 1/4" high, and 2", 1" and 1-3/8" long. Table with rounded top: Dense, solid tops with areas of crazing on the inside surfaces. Some small perimeter nicks. Some wobble at juncture of legs and apron.
