Set of Georgian Sterling Silver Pistol-Handled Knives

mid-18th century, with shell-end pistol handles marked "JH", including a dozen each dinner and dessert knives, with replacement sabre-shaped steel blades.

**Most all of the knives have been re-seated with some excess lead at seams and handle butts. Some areas of the handle butts are worn and some of the handle seams have light separation, a few of which have been secured with silver straps. One of the dinner knife blades has a couple serrated marks; another blade has some light rust. All knife handles have a few dings and dents, as is to be expected with age, material and use.
