Rosewood-Veneered Banjo Clock in the Late Classical Taste

second quarter 19th century, New England, with a silvered dial and unusual fret-carved solid wood side arms, the case lined with turned and carved trim, the base with an oval brass-lined window for viewing the pendulum, with an integral tower bracket.
h. 39", w. 10-3/4", d. 4-1/2"

**In good condition. Clean. There is a small section of the ripple molding gone from the curl at the right side of the case. Also, the small brass door latch to the round dial door is broken off but present. Retains a very good, original surface and patina. Weight driven. Pendulum, iron weight and winding crank present.
