Pair of Louis-Philippe Gilt-Bronze Sconces

mid-19th century, in the Rococo Revival taste, the cartouche-form backplates decorated with morning glories, the leaf-molded candle branches set with matching inverted bell-form candle cups and drip pans.
h. 25", w. 19-1/2", d. 16-1/2"

Provenance: The Estate of Camille & Raymond Hankamer, Houston, Texas.

Estimate $1,200-1,800

**Both are in overall good condition. No visible losses or repairs. They are wired for electricity and a hole has been drilled through each bobeche in order to access the sockets. They appear to retain their original gilded surfaces with light rubbing from age. They exhibit a nice patina.
