Louis XV Polychromed, Parcel-Gilt and Marble-Top Console

18th century, the front apron with a pierced and carved shell and floral motif throughout, raised on cabriole legs, with a later conforming black marble top.

Provenance: Estate of Norma Crawford Myers, Dallas, Texas.

Estimate $1,500-2,500

**In overall good condition. The surface exhibits finish and gilt losses, there is evidence of past re-gluing of carved elements and scattered shrinkage cracks. While there are typical flakes and chips to the edges of carved surfaces, no major losses to the carving were observed.
The top is a newer replacement.
When secured to the wall, the piece presents as tight and stable.
