**Surface dirt and toning of varnish layer. Signs of inpainting upper right with corresponding patch en verso and upper left (background). Area of inpainting lower right (sleeve), small areas of inpainting upper center (forehead and face) and lower center (gold trim). Surface marks mid-right (background). Antique frame with small losses along edges and in corners.
