Jacob Petit Paris Porcelain Dejeuner Set

second quarter 19th century, decorated with panels of melon-ground scrollwork alternating with flowers and richly gilded trim, with anthemion-molded knops, the set including a teapot, h. 6-1/2", w. 8", d. 5-1/4", a sugar bowl, h. 5", w. 5-1/4", a cream jug, h. 3-1/2", w. 6", a pair of cups and saucers, h. 2-1/2", dia. 5-3/4", and a tray, w. 13-1/2", d. 12", each signed "J.P." in underglaze blue.

Provenance: The Collection of the Late Dr. E. Ralph Lupin, New Orleans, Louisiana.

**In overall good condition. One plate has two chips to its foot rim. All pieces exhibit some rubbing/wear to gilding, especially the handle of the teapot.
