Italian Carved Marble Wall Fountain in the Baroque Taste

first quarter 20th century, the scroll-edged backplate carved with a lion's head spewing water into the reeded basin, supported on a carved and molded bracket, the lower backplate decorated with a pair of putti clasping hands on a stippled ground.
h. 56-1/4", w. 36-3/4", d. 17"

Estimate $1,000-1,500

**In overall good condition. The marble exhibits modest weathering and mars, most notably to the basin.
No breaks or cracks observed. There are several chips to corners/perimeter edges, the largest about 3/4" wide.
No pump, tubing or hardware accompanies the lot. The holes at the spout and basin are both free of blockage and appear functional. The basin gives all appearances of being able to hold water.
