George III Mahogany Chest-On-Chest

ca. 1800, the cornice with inlaid dentil banding, the upper section with two-over-three graduated and beaded drawers, the bottom section with a bank of three like drawers, raised on bracket feet.

**In "as found" condition. The piece exhibits normal shrinkage, scrubs, mars and wear consistent with age and use.

The molding at the base of the upper section is missing on one side. The corresponding molding on the other side exhibits losses.

Drawer pulls are in their original drillings and appear to be original. The drawers exhibit wear to the runners. Scattered losses to the front molded edge of the cock-beading around the perimeter of the drawers. The upper drawer on the lower section has an old dent/gouge in its face.

All locks are present save one; no key.
