**In generally good condition. Scattered nicks, whitish accretions and abrading. Stretcher shadows along left and upper edge. Faint tension ripples along right edge. Reverse dimple at center of painting which does not completely penetrate canvas. Scattered craquelure. Evidence of past restoration: inpainting upper right corner. Certain pigments fluoresce under UV light due to their chemical composition. Painting has not been relined. Dulling of varnish layer. In our opinion, this appears to be a preliminary preparation.
