early 20th century, attributed to W. & J. Sloane, New York, the rectangular breakfront top with projecting canted corners, above a conforming case fitted with a central drawer over an acanthine-carved cupboard, flanked to both sides by three short concave drawers, raised on block feet fronted by acanthine scrolls, the drawer locks engraved "Secure 2 Lever, W. & J. Sloane".

Notes: Originally purchased en suite with the dining table, vitrine, pair of pedestal cabinets and eight chairs.
