first quarter 20th century, Paris, the bucket-form body with crested handle and locking collar, decorated with flat-chased grapevine banding, resting in a heavy tubular tilting frame with reeded decoration and raised on four spatulate feet.

**In generally good condition, with some very minor losses to the silvering in the engraving, the tips of the tilting pegs, and the underside of the feet. The fleur-de-lys-shaped finials of the stand are dented, one outwards, one to the right. Otherwise no dents or repairs. Minor pinpoint dings. Marked on the underside of the body and the feet. A very handsome, unusual and functional lot.
