American Late Classical Figured Mahogany Armoire

second quarter 19th century, the large, curved, overhanging cornice above a pair of framed and raised paneled doors, the base with large, bulbous-shaped legs.

**In good "as found" condition. The piece exhibits evidence of an older refinish and restoration, now with normal wear, abrasions and scuffs.
There are some scattered small veneer flakes at perimeter edges, and a more notable veneer loss at the top of a front foot. One rear leg has an area of veneer tears and a loss just above it.
Lock, escutcheon and interior are missing. The armoire originally bolted together. The bolts are absent and it is now joined with screws. The assembled piece is sturdy, stable and free of movement. We do not have the shelves to this lot.
