American Colonial Walnut Slant-Lid Desk

18th century, the top opening to reveal a segmented interior fitted with niches, shaped drawers and a work slide, the case with two-over-two drawers, all with molded edges, raised on bun feet.
h. 41-1/4", w. 38-1/4", d. 22"

Estimate $200-400

**Slight movement observed in the case. Past restoration, splices, repairs, marks, stains and wear. One lock missing; no key. Lid lock replaced. Replaced brasses.
Replaced feet. Pine (white) secondary woods. The drawers retaining rose-head nails on their bottoms. The back now stained and attached using modern nails.

NOTE: Walnut not Mahogany
