American Brass, Marble and Prism-Hung Astral Lamp

mid-19th century, the shaped brass standard mounted to a square white marble base, fitted with a cut and frosted glass mushroom-form shade.
h. 21", dia. 8"

Provenance: Estate of Dr. Carroll Ball, Jackson, Mississippi.

Estimate $400-700

**The standard is tight, stable and straight. There are some normal tiny flea bites to the perimeter edges of the marble base.
The shade is in good condition, with no cracks or notable chips. It is probably later than the base.
