George II Japanned Tall Case Clock

18th century, the brass dial signed "Geo Wynn Wokingham", with molded brass spandrels, fitted with a second hand and calendar, the case with a black ground, Japanned with chinoiserie decoration, the hood with fret-carved panels and a bolection-molded crest.

**In "as found" condition. The surface is old and distressed. There is crazing throughout and minor paint flakes. Some shrinkage to the corner joints. Small losses and chips to the moldings. Wear to the silvering on the calendar dial. Pendulum and two weights present. Lacking winding key. We are uncertain as to its running condition.
