Handsome English Giltwood Mirror in the Adam Taste ca. 1900, the ogee-molded surround set with an urn finial, framed with delicate giltwood and wirework scrolls, carved leaves, medallions and bellflowers, the base decorated with a pierced giltwood anthemion. h. 44", w. 26-1/2" Provenance: Estate of Edward "Ted" L'Engle Baker and Ann McDonald Baker, Jacksonville, Florida.
Estimate $1,000-1,500 In as found condition. One bellflower is missing and another is off but present. The surface has been heavily rubbed and much of the gold leaf is gone and the under gesso showing through. There is some minor scattered touch-up. There are some curls with their tips missing.
