each with pineapple finials on reeded stiles and arms, the arms terminating in carved dog's heads, on reeded baluster-form supports with like front legs. With a brass label "Smith and Watson, New York"

**Both are very tight and sturdy, exhibiting no movement in the legs, arms, rails or backs. Both with very modest rubbing, mars and wear from light use. Some slight sun-bleaching on spots of one chair.

Upholstery is in quite good condition. The cushions retain good shape and firmness; the show covers show light wear but no rips, tears or heavy wear observed.

Of contemporary manufacture, probably crafted within the past couple decades.
