French Provincial Fruitwood Upholstered Daybed

19th century, with matching headboard and footboard, the carved and molded frame padded and with brass-tack-trimmed edge.

Provenance: Private collection, Galveston, Texas.

**The frame is in overall very good condition, exhibiting normal minor mars, blemishes and scrapes consistent with age and use. The legs on the rails, and the head- and footboard are all tight at their joints. It retains four traditional bed bolts and embedded nuts to draw up tight.

The upholstery exhibits scattered pilling and minor blemishes/small stains, with much more notable stains to the mattress and one side of the custom "box spring". No rips or tears noted.
