**Painting exhibits signs of past restoration; it has been relined, cleaned, revarnished and inpainted. Skinning (overcleaning) is present to parts of the figure and background in the upper right quadrant. Light inpainting was found in the the hands, to the proper left sleeve, and "touch-up" traces (some of which were removed when cleaned) to the figure's face, breast and clavicle. Canvas has light stretcher lines to the top and right. Horizontal seam line from original canvas is visible and slightly raised in the lower third part of the painting. Some faint craquelure is scattered throughout, and there is minor cockling/slackening of canvas.
Frame is structurally sound and intact, but exhibits past repairs and has minor scattered nicks and abrasions.
Condition is commensurate with age and material.
