**Canvas verso with multiple small patches which correspond with inpainting repairs (see photo of the canvas on our website). Scattered craquelure and upper and central stretcher marks visible. Scattered accretions, some old abrading and losses to left edge (close to the frame). Three small tears that do not completely penetrate canvas: one above the far left cow, one at the horizon above the hills and one to lower left area in the foreground. Several inverted dents at lower edge. Abrading around signature with few first letters slightly fluorescing. Unevenness to the varnish layer.
